Physiotherapist to the Rehabilitation Unit

The Rehabilitation Unit is responsible for the rehabilitation of patients admitted to home healthcare, nursing homes, and day activities within elderly care, disability services, and social psychiatry. The operation is part of the healthcare and social services sector of Skövde municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of physiotherapist within home healthcare is independent and involves assessing, planning, organizing, and performing rehabilitation interventions, assistive device assessments, and treatments for the patients you are responsible for.

The work is varied and requires you to be flexible and able to quickly prioritize when conditions change. This may involve assisting with discharge from the hospital, training mobility, contributing to improving complex sitting, reducing pain, and maintaining respiratory function.

You, together with the occupational therapist, are responsible for the patient's rehabilitation process and participate in interdisciplinary teams with occupational therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, care assessors, and unit managers. You also have close contact with relatives and are an important link between the patient and other caregivers. As a physiotherapist with us, you are responsible for guiding and delegating tasks to care and support staff and providing support to other team members around the patient. Contributing to the improvement work of the organization is a natural part of your job.

Solution-focused and unpretentious collaboration is a significant part of your role and a success factor in the assignment. You need to be able to work with both acute issues and long-term goals.

We work daytime on weekdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist who appreciates the breadth and variety within home healthcare. Experience from municipal rehabilitation or similar is an advantage.

You are a positive person with good communication skills who easily builds relationships with colleagues, patients, and relatives. You are confident and work independently, but also take responsibility in teamwork through close collaboration with other professionals. You are flexible and able to prioritize when necessary. You master the Swedish language both in speech and writing. A valid driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is required.
