We are looking for an operational purchaser/material planner for a long-term consulting assignment.
- Scope: Full-time
- Start: Immediately
- Duration: Until 2026-12-30, possibly longer.
You will be employed by Poolia but work on-site with our client. Opportunity for remote work 2 days/week once you are settled.
About the position
The purchasing team consists of 13-15 employees responsible for different parts of the assortment. The planning department plays a crucial role in managing the assortment of healthcare and consumable goods and ensuring that the customer receives deliveries as per the agreement.
Your main responsibilities
As an operational purchaser/material planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the right materials are in place at the right time, at the right cost, and with the right quality. The role is central to the supply chain and involves close collaboration with suppliers, warehouses, other operations, and other functions within the supply chain.
You will work both operationally and proactively with planning, monitoring, and improving material flows.
Responsibilities
- Operational purchasing and material planning based on forecasts and needs
- Ensure delivery precision and optimal inventory levels
- Order placement, delivery monitoring, and deviation management
- Engage in dialogue and follow-up with suppliers regarding lead times, capacity, and improvement measures
- Analysis of forecasts, consumption, turnover rate, and safety stock
- Contribute to the development of planning processes and working methods
- Participate in planning meetings and prepare materials for decision-making
Who are you?
To be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:
- You have an academic degree in logistics, industrial economics, economics, or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively, you have other education that the client deems relevant for the assignment.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in similar work.
- You have experience in operational purchasing and/or material planning and a good understanding of the entire supply chain and how its various parts are interconnected.
- You have good system skills and experience with planning tools/ERP.
- The job requires you to communicate clearly in Swedish both verbally and in writing, but English may also be required.
Desirable:
- Experience with the planning tool RELEX is a plus.
- Experience from regulated industries, such as medical technology or the public sector
- Work in complex item structures or large assortments
- Experience in improvement work related to inventory optimization and service levels
