Summer Substitute as a Care Assistant at Nacka Senior Center

Are you a trained care assistant looking to use your knowledge to provide safe and quality care this summer? Nacka Senior Center is seeking dedicated care assistants who want to ensure safe and person-centered care for our clients.

Your Mission

Nacka Senior Center consists of four residences located in Finntorp, Ektorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo. Each residence has both somatic and dementia-oriented departments, social activities, day services, and its own kitchens with meals prepared from scratch.

As a summer substitute, you will work based on the individual needs of the clients and will be responsible for care, hygiene, responding to alarms, and documentation. Working hours include days, evenings, weekends (07:00–21:00), and nights (21:00–07:00). We hope you can start as soon as possible and take at least eight shifts per month. During the summer period, you will work according to a fixed schedule for at least 6 weeks from mid-June to the end of September.

Requirements for the Position

You should have:

• Professional certificate or complete grades as a care assistant
• Experience in elderly care

Experience and knowledge in:

• Low-affect approach
• Previous delegation for tube feeding, insulin, and medication
• Ability to make independent care assessments
• Dementia diseases and approaches
• Documentation skills
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• At least 18 years old

Meritorious: knowledge of how to take vital parameters and sampling, such as blood tests.

The work involves lifting and transferring, which requires good physical ability. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We Offer

As a substitute, you will be employed by Stab Competence Supply within Nacka Municipality, which is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the quality of staffing of care personnel during short-term absences and monthly substitutes. As a summer substitute, you will work in one or more of our operations depending on how much you want to work this summer. We also offer you the opportunity to work as a substitute both before and after your summer assignment.
