Your Mission

Nacka Senior Center is a meeting place for seniors and the municipal alternative for elderly care in Nacka municipality. Our four senior centers are located in Finntor, Ektorp, Saltsjöbaden, and Saltsjö-Boo, and each facility has both a somatic and a dementia department. All facilities offer social activities, care, and day activities. There is a kitchen at each facility with its own chefs and meal assistants who prepare meals from scratch. As a summer substitute at Nacka Senior Center, your work centers around ensuring that the elderly can live a dignified life and feel secure. The customer's needs are always the starting point for the efforts, and we follow their wishes for support, care, and nursing. The most common tasks include, among others, nursing, administering medication, light wound care, supervision, and responding to alarms. Documentation is also an important part of your work.

Working hours for days, evenings, and weekends are scheduled at varying times between 07:00-21:00. Night shifts are from 21:00-07:00.

To thrive and settle into the work, we prefer that you can take at least 8 shifts per month.

As a summer substitute, you will take over the fixed schedule of a regular employee. The summer period starts in mid-June and ends in late September.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• You must be at least 18 years old

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Completed or ongoing education in health and care
• Experience in elderly care
• Worked with somatic and dementia patients before
• Documentation and computer skills

As a summer substitute at Nacka Senior Center, you are employed by the Staffing Competence Supply, which is responsible for coordinating and quality-assuring the staffing of care personnel during short-term absences and monthly substitutes. You may be offered the opportunity to work as a temporary substitute before and after your summer substitute position.
