Your Mission

Nacka Senior Center consists of four residences, and Sjötäppan is beautifully located by Neglingeviken in central Saltsjöbaden, surrounded by a large garden and nice walking paths by the water. The residence has both somatic and dementia departments, home-cooked meals from its own kitchen, and an active social program where clients are offered daily activities. As a summer substitute, you work to ensure that the elderly can live a dignified life and feel secure. You start from the individual needs of the client and provide support with care, service, and security. The tasks include care, hygiene, alarm management, social activities, and documentation.

Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekend (07:00–21:00) as well as night (21:00–07:00). We hope you can start right away and take at least eight shifts per month. During the summer period, you will work on a fixed schedule for at least 6 weeks from mid-June to the end of September. Parking is available just outside the facility, making it easy to commute by car.

For this position, you must have:

• Very good knowledge of Swedish
• At least 18 years old

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Completed or ongoing education in healthcare
• Experience working with the elderly
• Experience interacting with people with dementia diagnoses
• Documentation experience and system familiarity

To thrive in this role, we see that you are a team player with good communication skills, are flexible, and take responsibility. You need to be able to work independently and make confident assessments in the moment. The job requires sensitivity, empathy, and personal maturity as you work closely with clients. Good physical ability is needed as lifting and transfers occur.
