The Social Administration consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The department is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. We are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and services, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.

The Social Administration's Individual and Family Care (IFO) is organized into four units: Work and Integration, Children and Family, Adults, and Open Care.

The Adult Unit includes financial assistance, budget and debt counseling, estate management, harmful use and dependency, and domestic violence. We are now looking for a staff member for financial assistance who will handle subsistence support, housing issues, and applications for contact persons.

Working with financial assistance with us is a varied job where we work closely with citizens. We have a close collaboration with the municipality's labor market unit and actors in the labor market to create conditions for living an independent life. We have digitized the application process for financial assistance to be more accessible for those seeking support from us, as well as to increase the space for personal conversations. We have shifted the focus from document control to social work with individuals and collaboration with other actors to enable individual self-sufficiency.

A Day as a Social Worker in the Adult Unit

You will work with authority exercises where you investigate, assess, and make decisions about the right to assistance.

Collaboration with other actors, both internal and external, is a significant part of the work to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency.

We also handle other cases involving harmful use of alcohol, drugs, and gambling, domestic violence, investigating and making decisions about the right to housing contracts and applications for contact persons.

The work involves a high degree of individual support and motivational work with each individual case being unique.

Your Competence

Degree in Social Work.

As a person, you are structured and can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. You have a good ability to build relationships, analyze legal texts and information, and draw conclusions in your daily work.

You enjoy collaborating where openness and new perspectives inspire you while being confident in making and standing by your own decisions as the work requires a high degree of independence.

You have a well-founded understanding of the importance of individual legal security in contacts with social services and realize what this means in practice.

Experience in financial assistance is an advantage.

A driving license (B) is desirable.

Permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement.
