Job Description

We are now looking for an engaged Technical Manager for Land/Street/Road and/or Water to join our team. As a Technical Manager, you will play a central role in the planning, design, and execution of road, land, and street projects. You will lead the technical team and ensure that our projects meet the highest technical standards while being delivered according to customer requirements and expectations. The assignments range from smaller local tasks to more complex projects that span several years. You will be responsible for the budget, schedule, and quality of the technical area.

You have good knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or Novapoint and are well acquainted with AMA.

You are responsible for ensuring that projects comply with all relevant technical standards and regulations, which is crucial for delivering high-quality solutions.

You will also closely collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the projects. Your role includes monitoring and evaluating the technical performance throughout the projects to ensure everything proceeds according to plan and that quality is maintained.

Additionally, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and partners, which is central to driving projects forward. Your drive and commitment within AFRY's network for land, street, and road projects will be an important part of your role and contribute to both your and the team's success.

You will be based in our office in Norrköping or Jönköping.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in civil engineering or equivalent, and at least four years of experience in design and technical management within land, street, and road and/or water projects. You have documented experience in leading and developing technical teams. You have good knowledge of economics and business acumen and experience in managing budgets and resources with good financial insight.

Furthermore, you have relevant knowledge of legislation, standards, and technical guidelines that govern work in these areas to ensure that projects comply with applicable regulations and maintain the highest possible quality.

Language skills are also important, and you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English to communicate with both national and international parties.

It is advantageous if you have experience in sourcing, i.e., working with or coordinating assignments performed by international colleagues, for example in India or Poland. We also appreciate experience in working with sustainability issues as it is an important part of the work for long-term success.

As a person, you find it easy to create engagement and collaboration within a team and are skilled at steering work towards set goals. You have strong communication skills and can clearly convey information to various stakeholders. Your ability to collaborate with other disciplines and external parties ensures that projects are carried out smoothly and efficiently, resulting in integrated and sustainable solutions.
