The Social Administration works to ensure that all citizens can receive the support they may need in various situations. This is done within the framework of social services' mission and various legislations as well as based on the values of the Social Administration. This may involve home care, special housing, advice and support for people with disabilities, financial assistance, or help with substance abuse problems. The municipality's competence supply unit is also part of the administration.

The Social Administration is divided into five areas: Home Care, Care and Nursing Homes, Health and Medical Care, Individual and Family Care, and the area for people with disabilities.

Daily activities within Support for Functioning need to expand with a new operation.

We are now looking for staff interested in working with people in need of various support interventions in life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with colleagues to build a group activity where attention to detail is required. You will work from a clear and pedagogical approach, having good knowledge and understanding of the importance of a low-arousal response.

The main task is to guide a group of individuals with significant needs for clarity and structure in their activities, with the aim of increasing their development and opportunities for independence.

You will work in a team where communication between colleagues and participants should provide comprehensibility, manageability, and context.

The tasks for the participants vary based on their interests and needs for stimulation and learning. The work requires you to be flexible in your problem-solving ability to find content for different individuals within the group.

You will also drive vehicles for planned activities outside the common premises.

The assignment also includes maintaining social documentation according to legislation and establishing, following up, and revising action plans.

You will participate in the quality development of the operation and attend various meetings, training, and supervision.

The work is carried out with great respect for participants' rights to development, self-determination, and integrity. Close contact with participants' relatives is maintained. Care-related tasks are included in the assignment.

Delegated tasks from a nurse, such as medication management and, where applicable, rehabilitative and trained interventions from physiotherapists/occupational therapists, are also included.

You will receive support from a team consisting of a manager and colleagues such as work supervisors/work coaches and support educators in other operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed the Child and Leisure Program, the Health and Care Program, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.

Experience in work supervision and working with students in adapted schools is a requirement.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

To be suitable for the job, it is important that you:

  • have a good ability to adhere to established work/behavioral methods
  • understand the importance of having a relationship-building approach in relation to individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • have a good ability to analyze your own work/behavioral methods and be able to change your approach based on participants' needs
  • have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious are:

  • sign language
  • multilingualism, Kurdish, Arabic
