We are looking for rehabilitation assistants who can work during the period of June-August 2026 with working hours scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

Your role

You will work with rehabilitation on behalf of and/or together with occupational therapists/physiotherapists. Your main task is to support and relieve licensed staff in patient-related work within special housing. You will assist the occupational therapist or physiotherapist during patient examinations and training or independently perform interventions on behalf of or delegated by licensed staff. This may involve executing training programs, leading group training or individual training sessions, and participating in trials and assessments of aids. You will also assist the person responsible for activities in the organization and lead activities when they are on vacation.

Your skills and experience

To thrive and succeed in your role as a rehabilitation assistant, we see that you are a future occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and you have completed at least two semesters of your education. Since the work involves oral and written reporting and documentation, we require proficiency in Swedish and computer skills at a level necessary for the assignment. It is an advantage if you have work experience in elderly care, preferably within municipal operations.

We will place particular emphasis on the following personal abilities and skills: You are creative and engaged and appreciate independent work as well as collaboration with other professionals in the team. We need you to be secure, stress-resistant, and possess personal maturity. You should also be service-oriented and attentive to the needs of the care recipients. You value diversity and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others. You have empathy in your interactions with others and a genuine interest in working in the profession.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes at the City of Stockholm, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.

The Department of Elderly Care is responsible for assistance handling and various interventions that enable the elderly to have their care needs met. Here there are care and nursing homes, service houses, support for relatives, day activities, and home care. The administration applies full-time as the norm, and you will be employed within Kungsholmen's elderly care.
