Your Role
We are looking for an environmental resilience engineer for Saab in Karlstad. In this role, you will be responsible for developing specifications for the mechanical design of our missile products. You will participate in the planning and execution of verification of established environmental requirements and contribute to the technical development work for our future products.
The work encompasses the entire product development cycle and offers a wide variety of tasks. The work includes, among other things:
- Predicting and defining environmental requirements for devices, components, and complete products
- Investigating outcomes and developing action proposals
- Verifying and validating that the developed design meets current requirements and is safe and sound from an environmental resilience perspective
We offer a stimulating work environment where you will work on a range of development and customer projects. You will be part of a team that plans and prioritizes work together. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers in other teams and contribute to common solutions. The work is practically oriented and involves working closely with hardware, especially in the verification area.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a master's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, or aerospace engineering. We place great importance on your personal qualities and your interest in the field. With good collaboration skills and a willingness to develop, you have a good chance of succeeding in this role. Experience in environmental resilience work or verification testing is an advantage.
We would like you to have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical design
- System design
- Methods for verifying environmental requirements
To succeed in this role, you need to have a good ability to read and write technical documentation in both Swedish and English.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
