About the role & the employer

Topptalang has been tasked with recruiting two skilled landscapers on behalf of a client operating in Greater Stockholm, primarily on the northern side, as it appears with current projects. If you qualify in the selection, you will of course be informed about which company it is.

The company is a family-owned landscaping and construction company in Stockholm, founded in 1957 and now in its third generation. The company works with comprehensive solutions for outdoor environments and performs both ongoing maintenance and new installations within landscaping and water management, primarily for housing cooperatives and private property companies.

You will become a key person in a small and close-knit construction team that works with both new installations and maintenance of outdoor environments. The assignments vary in scope and content and can include everything from land preparation, drainage, and groundwork to paving, stone laying, outdoor carpentry, and simpler plumbing work.

The landscaping team currently consists of two experienced employees, and the client is now looking for two new landscapers to build a new team. You will work closely with your colleague and jointly be responsible for the execution of the projects – from establishing the workplace to the finished result. The work is operational and is carried out on-site where you together interpret drawings and work orders, plan work tasks, and drive the work forward in an efficient and safe manner. The projects are often relatively short (about a month), which means variation in both tasks and workplaces.

Basic requirements:

· At least 3 years of experience in landscaping work

· B driver's license.

· Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and understanding.

· Ability to take personal responsibility, plan daily work, and drive tasks forward in a safe and professional manner.

Meritorious:

· Machinery experience: excavator (certificate not required).

· Relevant education in landscaping or construction.

· BE driver's license (heavy trailer).

· Problem-solving and initiative – finds practical solutions in the field and is happy to contribute improvement suggestions.

· Accurate and safety-conscious – performs work methodically, follows drawings and safety regulations, and maintains order at the workplace.

Job tasks (selection)

· Perform landscaping and construction work in varying projects, such as excavation, drainage, ground insulation, paving, and simpler construction carpentry such as decking.

· Operate and handle work machines and tools, such as excavators, wheel loaders, and smaller machines, in a safe and responsible manner.

· Plan and drive work tasks together with your colleague, in dialogue with the supervisor, including preparations, material handling, and orders as needed.

· Ensure quality, order, and safety at the workplace and follow drawings, work orders, and safety routines.

Practical & conditions

· Working hours: Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00

· Employment: Full-time with an initial probationary period

· Location: Garage with equipment in Solna and Upplands Väsby, but going directly to the project after startup is fine

· Vehicle & equipment: Work vehicle and necessary protective equipment will be provided
