As a senior project engineer at Trafikverket, you will help facilitate everyday life for residents and businesses across Sweden.

Senior Project Engineer - Procurement and Project Purchasing

The Mälarbanan is an important part of the railway network, connecting Örebro, Västerås, and Enköping with Stockholm. The Mälarbanan is also part of Stockholm's local commuter train network. The program encompasses approximately 20 kilometers of railway between Tomteboda and Kallhäll in northwestern Stockholm and is one of the country's busiest.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work in a key role with a broad range of tasks. You will be a welcome colleague in our unit for Design and Production's commercial group, which is tasked with supporting and relieving the unit's project managers in commercial matters. The unit consists of an engaged team with a wide range of experience and knowledge. Here, we help each other with the challenges we face, and you will have close collaboration with both the project manager for the commercial group and project managers in our contracts, controllers, contract administrators, and more. With your extensive experience, we see that you will independently contribute both good team spirit and share your experiences with the team.

Your main job responsibilities will primarily consist of;

• ensuring that the unit's procurements have aligned requirements and working methods
• participating in the development of contract documents such as AF and EK
• collaborating with project management on purchasing-related issues
• ensuring compliance with contracts and terms related to purchases
• participating in or leading meetings related to the contractor's project purchases
• reviewing purchasing strategies
• planning and leading training on the unit's contracts and agreements
• writing minutes and notes
• providing input for future procurements

We are looking for someone who

• has a university or college education of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) with a relevant technical, civil engineering, or legal focus, or other education combined with relevant work experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent
• has at least three years of current and relevant experience in project purchasing, such as materials, within the construction industry
• has a good understanding and experience regarding construction processes and technical designs
• has several years of experience working with construction law, interpreting standard agreements AB04 and ABT06
• has a good understanding and experience regarding LOU/LUF
• has good negotiation skills
• has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• has good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
• has a driver's license for passenger cars

It is a merit if you

• have played an active role in larger procurements
• have several years of experience working with construction law, interpreting the standard agreement ABK09
