AVA in Lund is a department with great opportunities for development, whether you are at the beginning of your career or have previous experience. We are currently in an exciting development process focusing on being an acute care department including intermediate care, where we care for patients based on their level of care.

With us, we work in an open work environment characterized by commitment, flexibility, and good collaboration. Our patients have mixed internal medicine diagnoses of an acute nature. The department consists of 17 beds and a separate intermediate care room with space for 4.

We work with continuous competence development and are part of the competence and service model (KTM). There are also development opportunities for experienced nurses. During your employment, training and introduction to intermediate care are offered, as well as the opportunity to develop your leadership role by being one of the ward's operational nurses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for nurses for AVA in Lund for service in the different flows after adequate introduction and training. In this recruitment, we are looking for two nurses for permanent positions and one nurse for a fixed-term position of six months.

As a nurse with us, you should be able to see the whole patient, both in terms of medical, technical, and nursing needs. Here you will have a varied job where you work integrated with nursing assistants and doctors with the patient at the center. You will be offered development opportunities in the form of regular internal training and scenario training. As an employee at AVA, you are expected to contribute to the development of the department and have an interest in acute medical conditions.

Region Skåne invests in increased competence development for nurses. For newly graduated nurses, there is a Clinical Basic Year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. More experienced nurses are offered internal training based on individual needs. We care that you as a new employee feel comfortable with us and get into your role in the best way. Therefore, you will be offered an individual introduction tailored to your experiences, competencies, and wishes.

We work based on a wish schedule with a quota model that means a reduction in working hours. The position involves working day, evening, and night shifts. You have the opportunity to influence how you work through a wish schedule with a quota model.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in acute care and internal medicine, as well as someone who advocates for an involved patient. You take your own initiatives and want to be involved and contribute to the development of the business. As a person, you are responsible, enjoy collaboration, and have good communication skills. It is important that you are flexible as the work requires quick reprioritization. Additionally, you have a good ability to remain calm and act professionally, even in pressured situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Regarding formal requirements, you are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are also required for the position.
