Support Assistant for Group Home Kadriljgatan Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has knowledge, commitment, and interest in working in a group home for people with varying disabilities. The role of support assistant involves motivating and empowering the user in their daily life, both in their home and during social activities, based on the individual's needs, conditions, and wishes.

You will also work with care tasks and healthcare tasks delegated by a nurse. You will have close collaboration with other support assistants in the unit and other important people around the user. By contributing your knowledge and experience, you will also be involved in the development of the unit's operations.

The user's needs are at the center, and their opinions should be actively taken into account. The user should be supported in their right to make decisions about their life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible.

To succeed in the role of support assistant, you have completed the Child and Leisure, Health and Care program, or another educational background that the employer deems equivalent. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with people with disabilities.

You need to be confident and secure in your role as a support assistant and have the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. You want to provide support in a way that strengthens people's independence and security. Great importance is placed on the ability to work both independently and in a team.

You enjoy working in a structured and systematic way and following the routines and decisions in place to achieve goals. Where others see obstacles, you see opportunities and are solution-focused. You have computer skills as documentation and administration in a computer environment are part of the job. A valid driver's license (B) is required as we use a car in the service.
