Job Responsibilities

As a treatment assistant, you will play a central role in supporting and guiding individuals in their personal development and well-being.

You will work closely with clients and the team to create a safe and structured environment where each individual can feel seen and heard. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing treatment activities tailored to the individual's needs and circumstances.
  • Keeping daily journals to document progress and any challenges.
  • Participating in meetings with colleagues to discuss strategies and develop effective measures.
  • Offering emotional support and guidance to promote clients' self-awareness and accountability.
  • Creating and maintaining good relationships, both with clients and colleagues, where collaboration and mutual respect are central values.

The workgroup consists of eight treatment assistants and one method supervisor. For us, the most important thing is to keep the users in focus; we collaborate closely and help each other. You will be placed at Alelyckan, close to Gamlestans centrum. Become a part of our fantastic team and make a real difference every day!

Qualifications

A prerequisite for the position is that you have a post-secondary education focused on social work, addiction, and mental health, such as a 2-year YH education with a diploma. The work also requires that you have experience in psychosocial work and that you have previously worked with individuals with substance abuse issues. Since driving is part of the job, you need to have a B driver's license. The position involves a lot of documentation and contacts with authorities, users, and healthcare, so we see it as important that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing. You need to have experience with social documentation. You have good computer skills and preferably previous experience working in Treserva.

It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities and comorbidity (psychiatry-substance abuse issues) as well as training and experience in working with our methods MI, ÅP, and LAB. If you have knowledge of legislation in the area, you will benefit from this in your position.

The Social Administration Sydväst is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the urban area of Sydväst, about 120,000 residents live, and the area stretches from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago.
