We are now looking for a dental hygienist who wants to make a difference

Main tasks and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Skultorp, you meet patients of all ages with various care needs.

As a dental hygienist with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well received and secure during their visit. You will utilize your entire skill set while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

Your duties include:

• Being an important part of the clinic's health-promoting and preventive dental care for all ages
• Conducting your own examinations and identifying, assessing, and planning appropriate oral health interventions
• Providing outreach dental care in nursing homes

We are a clinic that can receive students from dental and dental hygiene programs at various universities, but not from Gothenburg. Supervising/assisting students may also be part of the job.

Qualifications and profile

• Licensed dental hygienist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
• Knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to convey a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Contribute to the development of the organization by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

We have good conditions to provide guidance for those new to the profession. As a newcomer, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your first year. Mentoring is part of our development program, which also includes networking meetings, team and communication training, and observation at specialist or general dental clinics.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 13-14.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts background checks in case of suspicion and criminal records before employment.
