As we lead the transformation towards a future of zero accidents and sustainable products, we’re looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our Product Safety Compliance (PSC) team.

About the Role:

In this role, you will monitor and influence the development of global safety regulations and standards for marine products, with a focus on electromobility, automation, and connectivity. You’ll collaborate across teams including e.g. Marine Business Unit, Product Planning, Range Management & Product Development to ensure compliant and safe products. As new technologies introduce new safety risks, you will help navigate this evolving regulatory landscape. The PSC department is part of the function Quality, Environment and Product Compliance. PSC currently consists of sixteen highly engaged and qualified persons who look forward to meeting their new colleague. In the role as Regulatory Affairs Manager you will also be part of the cross-functional Regulatory Affairs team at Volvo Penta, as well as collaborating with peers within the Volvo Group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and influence future safety trends, regulations, and standards impacting products.

• Set regulatory targets and ensure compliance for new projects and products.

• Support the interpretation and implementation of safety regulations.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive safety compliance.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) and experience in product safety.

• Expertise in new technologies such as electromobility, automation, and connectivity.

• Experience in regulatory affairs and safety standards.

• Excellent communication and networking skills, with fluency in English (Swedish is a plus).

• Experience working with Class Societies in the Marine sector is beneficial.
