RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant in Klippan Municipality, you will perform tasks that are governed by both the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act, where you have the obligation to follow legal requirements and stay updated in your profession. You are responsible for ensuring that a care plan exists and is updated, being a primary care contact, and reporting and documenting according to legal requirements. You will have an active and close collaboration with other professionals in the team such as case managers, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. You will actively participate in team meetings with other professionals. In your role, you always focus on the individual, carrying out the approved and prescribed interventions with a preventive and health-promoting perspective. Guiding and supporting new colleagues and students is part of your work, as well as your own professional development. You have good knowledge in personal care and can provide safe and effective health care based on the various care needs of the individual. Furthermore, you also have good knowledge in daily rehabilitation and hygiene. You can perform social pedagogical tasks such as conversations, contact, and activation, and have knowledge of health and medical tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Crucial for the position is that you are a care assistant with 1500 credits according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's vocational package from the health and care program designed for work as a care assistant or equivalent, where the employer assesses equivalently.

A valid driver's license is required for the position, as well as the ability to cycle.

You have and maintain the knowledge required to receive the following delegations:

  • Handing out medication
  • Insulin treatment
  • Subcutaneous injections in pre-filled syringes
  • Tube feeding via Mic-Key or PEG.

You have language skills in Swedish, where you can understand, speak, read, and write the Swedish used in healthcare.

Your ability to use technical equipment and assistive technology, as well as to use information technology for information, communication, and documentation, is good.

In addition to this, we also see that:

  • you have a professional attitude where the individual and relatives should be met with empathy in all situations.
  • Your ability to plan and execute care and support tasks is good. You should be able to prioritize tasks according to current situations and handle stressful situations. Furthermore, you should collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the individual receives their services with good quality.

To obtain a permanent position, proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title for care assistants is required.
