About the position

ReQuTech (Research, Quality & Technology) develops high-tech communication solutions for satellite communication (SATCOM). They work globally with customers in the defense industry, government agencies, space organizations (including ESA and the Swedish Space Agency), and commercial actors. ReQuTech's products are used in everything from advanced terminals on the ground to systems in space. They are ISO certified and hold several patents.

Job responsibilities

The role involves designing, simulating, testing, and optimizing complex RF and microwave systems for advanced SATCOM solutions, as well as collaborating cross-functionally to integrate these systems and ensure their performance and compliance.

  • System-level RF and microwave design for SATCOM terminals (Ku-, Ka-, X-band)
  • Design, simulation, and optimization of RF chains (LNB, BUC, waveguides, filters, LNA)
  • Link budget analysis, G/T and EIRP calculations, and RF performance modeling
  • Testing, verification, and characterization of microwave systems in laboratory and field environments
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of deviations in RF performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF subsystems into complete terminals
  • Support compliance with regulations (CE, FCC) and satellite operator certifications

We are looking for someone who

  • Has deep knowledge in electrical engineering, microwave technology, or applied physics
  • Has good experience in RF/Microwave design, systems engineering, or antenna systems
  • Has experience with simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS, or AWR
  • Has an understanding of link budgets, noise figure analysis, and RF system modeling
  • Has experience working with spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and over-the-air measurements
  • Has excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • Has excellent knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
  • Has Swedish citizenship (requirement due to defense-related assignments; dual citizenship is acceptable)

It is a merit if you have

  • Experience with SATCOM systems (GEO/MEO/LEO)
  • Understanding of AESA/ESA architectures
  • Experience with high-frequency RF, thermal design, or radome/EMC considerations
  • Background in the defense, aerospace, or telecommunications industry
