About the Assignment:

You will work with a 14-year-old boy who lives at home with his parents and younger siblings and who uses a wheelchair. He needs support in his daily life but, like others his age, wants to be listened to, have influence, and do things his way. You will assist with daily activities such as meals, dressing, transfers, personal hygiene, homework, and cleaning his room, but also join in activities that are important to him. You need to be clear, calm, and flexible, understanding when it is time to take the lead and when it is time to step back. The role also includes providing him space for personal time. During these moments, there is an opportunity for you to take on more responsibility in the team and gradually develop into a more leading role, if you are interested.
