The assignment concerns a Project Manager with technical system understanding for the subway section within critical infrastructure in Stockholm. You will lead the commissioning of a new digitalized control system – a central part of the modernization of the subway. The assignment involves coordinating complex project activities between several parties in a safety-critical environment with a high societal focus.

Assignment descriptionThe control system is a central part of a traffic management system. Through the control system, traffic is monitored, and the system requests paths for the trains while other parts of the traffic management system are responsible for ensuring a safe path for the train.
Currently, a project is underway within the subway section that aims to develop, install, and commission a new digitalized control system. This assignment focuses on commissioning on existing tracks. At the same time, new sections are being expanded where the new digital control system will also be commissioned.
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and driving this complex commissioning project in close collaboration with several internal and external parties.
Your responsibilities include:
Close collaboration with other projects within the administration
Reporting and informing stakeholders about status, risks, and obstacles
Planning, driving, and coordinating project activities between different projects
Leading project meetings
Contacts with the supplier of the new control system for the expansion sections
Contact with the Transport Agency if approval of the control system for the expansion sections is needed
Planning the commissioning of the new control system on the expansion sections
Following processes, standards, and guidelines that exist for this type of project
Civil or higher engineering degree
At least 5 years of work experience in planning, driving, and coordinating project activities in development and commissioning projects
At least 3 years of experience in project management in a client organization
TRI training, at least KAT-19 (certificate must be presented)
Experience with CENELEC and/or safety work in traffic management
Experience in leading projects of a business development nature within rail-bound public transport
Experience in signal or control systems
Start: Immediately
Extent: Full-time
