Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who wants to ensure the highest quality with our suppliers, in our products, and in our processes. This role is central to our operations and involves both operational and strategic quality work in close collaboration with production, suppliers, and other quality organizations within the company.

As a Senior Quality Engineer in our production, you will drive and develop quality work in our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for handling and following up on deviations, leading Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and developing and maintaining control and inspection plans. You will also work on method and process development to improve efficiency and quality in our processes, while supporting production with technical expertise and problem-solving. The role also involves collaboration with quality representatives from our other production sites where the same products are manufactured, creating good opportunities for experience sharing and knowledge exchange. The role requires in-depth technical competence within the supply chain and incoming inspection. Ability to interpret and understand drawing documentation, as well as identifying the need for control points for our products. In this role, you will also guide and train colleagues.

Perform internal audits and implement corrective actions
Deviation management and follow-up
PQA - Part Quality Assurance and supplier contact
Initiate and drive CAPA work
Develop and refine control and inspection plans
Contribute to method and process development
Support production in quality matters
Collaborate with colleagues at other manufacturing units

Your Profile

To succeed in the role of Senior Quality Engineer, we see that you are meticulous, structured, and analytical with a strong eye for detail. You have an easy time collaborating and communicating with different functions and levels in the organization, while being self-motivated and driving your work forward. We also believe that you thrive in a varied work environment that requires flexibility.

Qualifications:

Relevant academic education and/or several years of professional experience.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry or a similar role.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Quality work in takted production as well as job-shop manufacturing
Experience in cable manufacturing, electrical assembly, and/or mechanical assembly
IPC-610, IPC-620
Business system IFS

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
