About the Company
Vattenfall is one of Europe's largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat. Our main markets are Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. The Vattenfall Group employs approximately 21,000 people. For over a hundred years, we have electrified industries, supplied energy to homes, and transformed lives through innovation.
About the Role
Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for both society and the energy transition? At Vattenfall, you are part of a socially vital operation and get to work on exciting projects, cutting-edge technology, and colleagues who value each other.
Vattenfall Eldistribution is at the heart of the energy transition and plays a central role in the powerful electrification taking place in society. We are building the electricity grid of the future today, driving a socially critical infrastructure that distributes just over half of all electricity produced in Sweden. Our mission is truly important – become part of Vattenfall Eldistribution!
In the role of Contractor Manager - Grid Connections, you play a key role in the collaboration between Vattenfall Eldistribution and our contractors, while also contributing to the development of working methods, quality, and competence within grid connections.
As Contractor Manager - Grid Connections, you have overall responsibility for contractor collaboration and technical responsibility within one or more contract areas within Grid Connections. You are the central link between the operations and the contractors, working closely with both internal functions and external parties to ensure mutual understanding, good communication, and continuous improvement.
The role is both operational and development-oriented, involving significant personal responsibility and good opportunities to influence working methods and results.
Your Main Responsibilities
As Contractor Manager - Grid Connections, you will have contractor and technical responsibility for your contract areas and be responsible for the dialogue with them, for example through OVM meetings and regular check-ins. You listen to the needs of the operations and ensure good communication and understanding between all parties and stakeholders. You independently drive improvement proposals within the operational area and contribute as a competence resource in identified knowledge areas. Furthermore, you will:
- Be the link between case handlers, different groups within Grid Connections, and the contractors, as well as support and inform about new working methods
- Monitor KPIs, statistics, forecasts, and other relevant areas vis-à-vis the contractor
You act as a contact person for contract managers and support, among other things, by ensuring the right knowledge within grid connections, identifying needs for competence development, and developing and conducting training in the area.
Requirements
Your Background
We believe that you, as an applicant, have experience of contractor collaboration, contract monitoring, or have worked in some way within the connection flow to the local grid. You have a good understanding of grid connections or related technical operational areas. Working structured and independently with monitoring, analysis, and improvement work is something you enjoy, as you drive issues from need to implementation.
We see that you have strong communication skills and thrive in a coordinating and relationship-building role. It is an advantage if you have experience from the energy sector, electricity grids, or larger organizations with multiple collaboration interfaces.
