Are you an automation engineer with experience in building automation? Do you want to work on projects where you are involved from technical design to commissioning and optimization? Then this could be a perfect opportunity for you.

About the company

Our client is a well-established company in building automation, with extensive experience in creating smart, energy-efficient, and reliable solutions for their customers. To this end, the company offers comprehensive solutions that include development, design, construction, programming, installation, and commissioning of control and monitoring systems. As part of the company, you will have the opportunity to participate in every stage, alongside competent and dedicated colleagues.

This is a direct recruitment with employment at the client. More information will come in the next step of the process.

About the role

As an automation engineer, you will play a key role in the execution and delivery of projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and colleagues, and be responsible for ensuring that technical solutions work in practice - from the first test to the completed facility.

A significant part of the role involves verifying, troubleshooting, and commissioning systems, as well as creating stable and efficient functionality in the building's technical installations. You will help develop control strategies that meet project requirements and contribute to sustainable long-term operations.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Engaging in technical dialogue with clients, consultants, and contractors

  • Conducting tests and troubleshooting before and during commissioning

  • Developing and sizing control strategies

  • Working with PLC/DDC programming

  • Creating functional descriptions, I/O lists, and technical documentation

  • Integrating systems for ventilation, heating, and cooling, and ensuring effective communication between different platforms

  • Optimizing operations and energy performance over time

About you

You have a genuine technical interest and a good understanding of how different systems in buildings interact. Whether your expertise comes from education, work experience, or a combination of both, you are confident in your knowledge of building automation, control, and regulation technology, or a related field.

You thrive in a role where you can take responsibility and work independently, while also being a natural part of the project team. Driving your work forward, taking initiative, and ensuring quality in delivery is second nature to you.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • A valid driver's license (B)

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

  • Experience in PLC programming, preferably Siemens
