We are now looking for you to join our growing construction and property team in Blekinge as a Construction Project Manager and continue your professional development with us.

Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager in the engineering firm's construction and property team in Blekinge, you will be based at the office in Karlskrona. You will work on assignments for clients, responsible for smaller construction projects or taking on the role of assistant project manager in larger complex projects.

Your responsibilities in assignments vary but typically include keeping track of the project's finances, establishing schedules, monitoring quality, managing workplace safety issues – plans and risk analyses – as well as environmental issues. You will lead construction and project meetings and work extensively with finance and administration – writing minutes and preparing correct documentation.

The types of projects can range from large industrial construction projects, buildings, ice and swimming halls, hospital buildings, and larger residential projects. These include early stages, feasibility studies, or already fully designed projects. There is an opportunity to work on large projects over an extended period, with authorities and state agencies as clients.

As support in your work, you have several experienced colleagues with extensive experience and solid industry knowledge to learn from. You have great freedom to plan your own time and where you work within the framework of what your assignments require.

In addition to growing into and developing in the role of Construction Project Manager, there are good opportunities for further education, such as becoming a quality manager or inspector, as well as continuing education with courses related to the requirements of the assignments.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in their development and is attracted by the idea of independently planning and leading construction projects. You have worked on the contracting side for several years and have a good understanding of the challenges faced in the role of construction project manager. Formal requirements for the position include:

  • Understanding of early stages in the construction process and how to work in production.
  • Experience with project finances and scheduling in construction projects, as well as understanding quality work, workplace safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Understanding of industry and regulatory requirements for the construction process.
  • Experience with administration and document management in projects.
  • Driver's license.

We believe you have a relevant educational background – for example, a master's degree in engineering or a two- to three-year construction engineering education.

If you have experience working in a leading role in construction projects and early stages of the construction process, such as preparing feasibility studies and tender documents, this is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is a good judge of character and has the ability to manage clients at various levels. You are proactive and enjoy handling a wide variety of challenges, easily adapting to changing conditions, and are clear in your communication. You are not afraid to ask for help when needed, value quality in your work, enjoy planning and organizing, and have a knack for identifying and understanding risks.

Does this sound like you?

At Ingenjörsfirman, you will have a varied, developing, and challenging job, with freedom and authority, and continuous support in close collaboration with experienced colleagues. All in a warm, inclusive, and unpretentious culture.

– Together we build southeastern Sweden – and a company where you can thrive and develop.
