Vägga High School is located in a beautiful environment near the sea and has good connections by bus and train. Currently, there are about 1100 students and 150 staff members. Vägga High School offers most national programs as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. The education administration has about 1200 employees and is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, commissioned education, and SFI.

Job Responsibilities
You will teach and guide our students in technology subjects. You will be part of the Technology Program along with other colleagues. Teaching will primarily take place in the Technology Program, but some instruction may occur in other programs, for example, within the framework of individual choices. You will work together with other teachers in the program and be part of the program work team, which collectively develops, evaluates, and follows up on daily work. The Technology Program at Vägga High School is Technology College certified (TC) and has a close collaboration with local companies. Part of the job responsibilities includes driving the development in technology subjects and being a part of TC. The position also includes mentorship for students in the Technology Program.

Qualifications
We are primarily looking for someone who is a certified teacher in technology subjects such as Information Technology, Technology, Construction, Image and Visualization, Computer and Network Technology, CAD, and high school projects. If you have parts of this competence but have work experience and experience with youth, we encourage you to apply anyway.

You should have pronounced collaboration skills, be able to take your own initiatives, and have the will and ability to meet and support each student in their learning based on their knowledge level. You are a driven person who thrives on challenges and has a strong interest in renewal and development, for example, AI in schools. We see you as an important and driving force, to develop both the program and the subjects with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. You care about the individual student and see education as a whole. As a teacher, you see opportunities to work with ICT as a natural tool in learning and teaching. Great consideration is given to personal suitability. Contacts with local companies are an advantage.
