Vilboksskolan is a multicultural school with over 20 different nationalities.

The school has about 250 students in grades F-6 and an adapted primary school. It is located near forests and lakes, with easy access to the town center, cultural house, swimming pool, and playground.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who...

We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is confident in their leadership role and wants to make a difference in the students' entire day. We are seeking two individuals who will jointly drive the development of the after-school program at Vilboksskolan. To be considered for these positions, we expect you to:

• Be a licensed primary school teacher for after-school programs or a trained leisure educator. We are looking for someone qualified to teach in the after-school program. Qualification in a practical-aesthetic subject (art, sports, or music) is highly meritorious.
• Have good collaboration skills. You recognize the value of building bridges between school and after-school programs and enjoy working in teams with class teachers and other colleagues.
• Be creative and flexible. You have the ability to capture students' interests in the moment and translate them into educational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Be a good communicator. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. A crucial part of the job is daily contact with guardians and collaborating with colleagues regarding students' development.
• Focus on the students. You are passionate about creating meaningful leisure time and actively work with value-based issues to ensure safety and conducive learning environments.

Examples of Job Responsibilities

• Teaching and Activities: Plan, implement, and evaluate the education in the after-school program based on the curriculum (Lgr22), focusing on experience-based and group-oriented learning.
• Collaboration with the School: Work integrated with the school during parts of the day, for example, as a resource in the classroom or by leading recess activities.
• Social Development: Lead the work on students' social interactions, conflict resolution, and democratic education.
• Practical Subjects: (If qualified) Be responsible for teaching subjects such as art, sports and health, or music within the framework of the school's schedule.
• Documentation: Follow up and document the quality of the program and drive development work in the after-school program together with the principal. You will be part of the school's development group and implement decisions made there in the after-school team.

Qualifications

Teaching degree as a primary school teacher for after-school programs or leisure educator.
