Imagine a workday where one hour you develop a new school program together with a teacher, the next hour you stand in the midst of an engaged group of students – and later in the afternoon sketching how a completely new experience environment should take shape.

This is our everyday life.

Kreativum is an interactive science center where science, technology, and mathematics come to life through experiences. Each year we meet approximately 33,000 visitors, of which over 6,000 are school students. Here you will find experiment stations, workshops, the dome cinema Kreanova, and the outdoor park Kreapark. We also run Ire Nature and Culture School in collaboration with the County Administrative Board and Karlshamn Municipality.

We are now looking for someone who wants to manage and further develop the part of our operations aimed at schools.

The Role – from a holistic approach to hands-on

We are a small organization with great drive. This means you will work broadly – strategically and operationally – and that the right person has real influence.

You will:

Develop and manage our school operations

• Manage and further develop our school programs
• Conduct programs with student groups yourself
• Develop new arrangements together with teachers and school administrations
• Deepen and improve existing programs based on feedback
• Build long-term relationships with schools in the region
• Develop working methods that both scale and deepen our operations

Create engaging learning environments

• Develop new experiments, stations, and pedagogical concepts
• Integrate drama and expressive methods where it enhances learning
• Further develop our outdoor educational elements
• Test, adjust, and improve existing activities

Be part of the whole

• Participate in projects and partnerships
• Conduct teacher training
• Participate in events and special arrangements
• Staff opening hours and meet our visitors
• Document and manage administrative parts

With us, you go from idea to reality. And sometimes from workshop to cleaning up the materials afterwards. We help each other – always.

Who are you?

You are an educator at heart, with experience from schools or school administrations, and have worked with development issues. You have very good knowledge in STEM subjects and are comfortable meeting students – preferably at the secondary or high school level.

You need to be able to think holistically and deliver in practice. STEM depth and pedagogical breadth are equally important to us – we are looking for a hybrid and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Desirable qualifications include experience in:

• Drama pedagogy or expressive methods
• Outdoor education
• Science centers or similar learning environments
• Building partnerships with schools and other actors
