Before your work, you will receive an introduction and shadowing as well as the training required for the position. We can offer you night work, weekend work only, or regular varying hours for day/evening and weekend.

To work with us during the summer, you need to be available for most of the summer, especially during weeks 28, 29, and 30. We prioritize those who can work weekends, as the need is greatest then.

Job Description

Birkagården is a special accommodation for people with dementia diagnoses and is centrally located in Söderköping's city center, close to the canal and the river. We also have a courtyard that offers beautiful walking paths and opportunities for relaxation in the sensory garden.

Birkagården has 39 apartments distributed over five departments. We have staffing around the clock, and the team consists of care staff, nurses, two unit managers, and an administrator.

With us, you will work with regular care tasks such as assisting our residents with personal hygiene, dressing, help during meal situations, and social interaction.

Qualifications

You who apply should have a pleasant demeanor and focus on the individual. You should be service-oriented and have good collaboration skills with other colleagues in the team.

A nursing program or other education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent is desirable but not a requirement. Experience from similar operations is an advantage.

You need to be at least 18 years old and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You should also be open to medication administration.
