About the Workplace

The staffing planning provides the social services with temporary substitutes.

The substitutes work within home care, elderly care, and support services throughout Ale municipality. Together with other employees, you create good conditions for our citizens in need of support.

Job Responsibilities

We have your summer job!

Right now, we need you who want to work between weeks 25–34 on a summer schedule with a working degree of approximately 75–100%. If you work on a schedule, you will often work every other weekend during the summer period. We would like you to have the opportunity to work as a temporary substitute before now, where you can enter your available time in Time Care Pool, our substitute management system.

Your responsibilities as a substitute include, among other things:

• Personal care
• Documentation
• Performing tasks based on delegation from a nurse, such as administering medication
• Transfers
• Providing support during meals
• Service tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping
• Participating in activities and contributing to a good environment for care recipients

The tasks vary, and there may be some solo work, so it is important that you feel secure in your role. As a substitute with us, you will receive thorough introduction and training tailored to the job, which prepares you well for the role!

The workplaces have varying working hours, and you will work during the day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. If you work nights, it means either sleeping on duty or being awake at night.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to spread joy and are passionate about providing service! It is important that you are responsible as a person and have great personal maturity, as well as being attentive and enjoying working with people!

To work with us, it is required that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You can communicate and document in good Swedish.
• For those who are not citizens of the EU/EES area, a work permit is required. This does not apply to those with permanent residence permits.

Meritorious:

• If you have an approved or ongoing education from a nursing program or education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• If you have previous experience of similar tasks.
• If you have a B driver's license, as some services require it in the position.
• If you can work the entire summer.

What does the recruitment process look like?

Once we have reviewed the applications, we will select candidates for group interviews. When contacting you, we will email from Varbi, so please double-check your email and search for Varbi to not miss any messages we send out.

If you proceed in the recruitment process:

• The recruitment portal must be correctly filled out and submitted.
• Digital reference checking (latest supervisor and a colleague).
• A valid extract from the criminal record must be presented, via digital mailbox via email or to the responsible recruiter when you meet in the final phase (the extract must be valid within 1 year).
• The candidate must take a language test or present approved grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1.
