About Måltidsservice

We are responsible for producing and serving good, nutritious, and safe food within the municipality's operations. Our mission is to create health-promoting eating habits and contribute to sustainable development. Our kitchens in the municipality include four production kitchens, five preparation kitchens, and 46 finishing kitchens. Måltidsservice is part of the Property and Service Management, which is also responsible for the maintenance of municipal buildings and keeping our premises clean and pleasant.

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will have a varied and meaningful job where you are an important part of the whole. You will work with preparing, cooking, packing, and portioning dishes according to recipes and quality requirements. You will prepare dishes in the production kitchen that are cooled down and sent on to customers. The student restaurant is responsible for preparing breakfast and snacks, salad buffets, and accompaniments for lunch, finishing dishes, dishwashing, and cleaning the premises. To create flexibility and good work teams, we rotate between different tasks. We help each other – everyone contributes to a whole that makes a difference for our guests and customers.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a restaurant education at the high school level or equivalent education that the employer deems appropriate. Alternatively, documented experience as a chef in large kitchens and/or restaurants. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, for safe handling and communication in the kitchen. Good computer skills are required for the position. A good physical ability is required, as the work is physically demanding.

We believe you have knowledge of both cold and hot kitchens with a focus on food cooked from scratch. You have worked with self-control, hygiene, and cleaning in kitchens. You have knowledge of handling raw materials, basic knowledge of special diets, and good machine knowledge in large kitchens.

More About the Position

Temporary position from 2026-05-01 to 2027-08-16. Start date 2026-05-01 or by agreement.

Holiday position with light holidays Monday-Friday, full-time 37 hours per week. A criminal record check is required for employment.
