Sámi School Board is looking for a Meal Planner

The Sámi School Board is a government authority with its office located in Jåhkåmåhkke, including a school principal, controllers, HR, and administrators.

The Sámi School is an educational form equivalent to primary school, providing education from preschool to grade 6. The teaching is based on Sámi culture and the Sámi language according to the curriculum for the Sámi school. The Sámi School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sámi School Board has activities in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sámi School Board organizes distance education in the Sámi languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sámi education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will plan and prepare meals for schools and preschools. You will work to create positive meal experiences focusing on Sámi culture and tradition as well as sustainable development. In your work, you will continuously plan, document, evaluate, and ensure the quality of the operations. Your tasks include meal planning and ordering food. You have great opportunities to influence your work by participating in the development of our operations. In the work team, you will reflect together with your colleagues on the operations, and you will jointly be responsible for driving and developing the work based on governing documents and common goals and guidelines within the Sámi School Board.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have an education in the field and experience working independently, being punctual, and providing good service when serving food. We prefer that you speak Sámi and have good knowledge of Sámi culture. Good collaboration skills are essential.
