Then the position of junior service engineer at RemaSawco could be your first step towards an exciting future in technology and innovation!

ABOUT THE POSITION

At RemaSawco, you will be part of digitizing one of the world's oldest industries – the sawmill industry – using image analysis, sensor technology, and smart software solutions.

As a junior service engineer in Linköping, you will become part of an experienced team that teaches you the systems in practice, from installation and service to optimization and troubleshooting. Here, you will gain a technical breadth and understanding of how machines and digital solutions interact.

The role is suitable for you who want to apply your technical skills in reality, combine problem-solving with customer contact, and build a knowledge base for future roles in areas such as product development, software development, or data engineering.

If you are still studying, there is an opportunity to start part-time in the spring and then transition to a full-time position after graduation.

After six to twelve months as a consultant through Friday, the goal is for you to transition directly into employment with RemaSawco.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn the basics of RemaSawco's systems and products through introduction and mentorship
  • Be involved in service, support, and installations at customer sites
  • Assist with troubleshooting, adjustments, upgrades, and testing as well as simpler software-related tasks
  • Document technical issues and contribute to development dialogues
  • Travel to customers within Sweden and the Nordic countries as needed, including possibly outside of Europe (approximately 30–50 days per year)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Will graduate in summer 2026 from a higher education program in fields such as mechatronics, electronics, computer engineering, automation, or mechanical engineering
  • Has a genuine interest in technology and wants to understand how digital technology and machines interact
  • Is curious, responsible, and enjoys solving practical problems
  • Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Has a driver's license (B) or plans to obtain one soon

It is an advantage if you

  • Have had a summer job or project in technology, industry, or IT
  • Have basic programming skills in languages such as C++, C#, or Python
  • Have a basic understanding of automation or PLC work

TO THRIVE IN THE ROLE

You are a person who wants to learn, test, and grow. You like technology, but even more, you enjoy seeing when your technology works in reality. You gain energy from collaborating, are not afraid to ask questions, and find it exciting to combine service, innovation, and development at the beginning of your career.
