JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop the educational support at Morängatan's service housing, centrally located in Gothenburg? At Morängatan, 10 tenants with varying disabilities, including intellectual and mental disabilities, reside. We are looking for a support pedagogue who wants to create conditions for our tenants to develop towards an independent life.

We work on the premise that our tenants should be involved and have the opportunity to influence what their day looks like and what they need support with. The residents should be given the opportunity to maintain as independent a life as possible. The job responsibilities consist of helping users in their own homes with personal care, medication administration, cooking, and cleaning.

You will have a central role in the quality development of the operations and systematic improvement work, including supporting support assistants in establishing implementation plans and social documentation. You will establish working methods and ensure that these are used and developed effectively while maintaining contact with outpatient care, psychiatric departments, and other authorities.

The work requires the ability to work both independently and in a team. The job also involves being active in driving issues and processes forward, together with colleagues and the unit manager, as well as actively contributing to ensuring that the operations maintain good quality and a safe working environment. You will work on a schedule where working hours may vary between days, evenings, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a support pedagogue education, post-secondary education specializing in the disability area such as support pedagogue, activation pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. The education should comprise at least 200 YH points or at least 60 university credits or a combination thereof corresponding to at least two semesters of full-time studies. It is important that you have good computer skills and are comfortable working with various IT support as well as having a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

You have previously worked with people in care and support. It is important that you are accommodating and have a positive attitude in your professional role. If you work in a structured manner, have good collaboration skills, and can take your own initiative within the framework of the assignment, this is highly valued. To communicate with tenants, colleagues, and to document, you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing.

If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
