We are now looking for a support assistant for a group home according to LSS at Ekholma in Uddevalla. The position is a permanent employment with an 85-100% workload, starting with a 6-month probationary period. We offer training and several benefits.

Your mission

In the role of support assistant, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

About Ekholma

Ekholma is a group home according to LSS 9§9, aimed at adults with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disabilities. The facility is located in a newly built property in a beautiful coastal location by Havsstensfjorden in Uddevalla municipality, near the Lanesund area.

We work individually tailored according to Nytida's framework for pedagogy, which is based on low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The working method is tailored so that each resident has the best conditions for quality of life, participation, self-determination, and meaningfulness. We value good collaboration with our partners.

In your position, you will have close access to engaged managers who spend part of their time in the operations.

Your experience and knowledge

We assume that you who are applying to us: • have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people • are responsible and have personal maturity • enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues

You have at least a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. A valid driver's license is required. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.
