The Home for the Elderly

The Home for the Elderly is a care and nursing home for seniors over 65 years old. The building is located on a scenic plot with access to a large beautiful park that provides opportunities for walks and outdoor activities for our residents. Several bus connections and the subway are nearby.

The operation includes two units, one focused on dementia and one on somatic care, totaling 63 apartments and a day activity center. Here, nursing assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and activity coordinators work.

Join us and work as a nursing assistant in our operation as a summer substitute. Your work makes a difference for those living with us who need care.

Your Role

The tasks consist of the usual duties of a nursing assistant in a care and nursing home. The work is varied and involves opportunities to meet residents in different life situations. In addition to care tasks, delegated tasks according to HSL are included.

Your Competence and Experience

This is an opportunity for you who are training to be a nursing assistant, are qualified with a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or have experience in elderly care to gain experience this summer!

As a nursing assistant with us, it is important that you enjoy working in a team. You are easy to collaborate with and always have a good attitude. Thus, you have a good ability to create and maintain good relationships with both residents and relatives as well as colleagues in various professional categories. You have a good attitude and work person-centered with the ability to see the whole perspective. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively together with your colleagues. You are the contact person for one or two residents.

You are computer literate and can document. We prefer that you have diplomas from online courses in the national values of elderly care, Dementia ABC, basic hygiene routines, and safe medication handling. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

You need to request the extract yourself via the police's website: Check your own information (polisen.se). The extract we want to see is called "Check your own information in the criminal record." Once you receive your extract, you will show it to the recruiting manager if you are called for an interview.
