Your profile

As a Linux systems specialist, your mission will be to maintain, develop, and optimize our Linux platform, as well as support other parts of the authority in using the platform.

Our IT environments are modern and built on virtual Red Hat, Linux, and Java. At the Pensions Agency, we work with CI/CD, automated testing, and automated configuration management. For us, it is a given to automate lifecycle management to always stay updated and to always prefer configuration as code over manual handling.

Examples of tasks:

• Design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Linux-based environments
• Develop and automate work processes through programming/scripting
• Implement security measures
• Monitoring and oversight
• Problem-solving and change management
• Keep up with platform development, monitor the external environment, and evaluate new technology
• Collaborate within and outside the team to solve complex technical challenges and optimize server performance.

Your qualifications, we are looking for someone who has:

• At least five years of work experience that has given you good competence in Linux server administration
• Work experience in technical system development in e.g. Python and Ruby as well as version control with e.g. Git
• Work experience in configuration management with Puppet and Ansible
• Work experience in log management with e.g. Rsyslog, Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus
• Knowledge and/or work experience in monitoring with e.g. Check MK or Nagios
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have experience in:

• Work experience in lifecycle management with Satellite
• Experience with Atlassian's product suite (Jira, Bitbucket/Git, Confluence)
• Worked in an agile organization according to SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
• Relevant post-secondary education in IT
• Load balancing / Big-IP

Good to know

The position is a permanent full-time employment. We apply a 6-month probationary period for external candidates. The place of employment for the position is Stockholm or Luleå.
