Junior Application Portfolio Lead

This is a new role at LKAB where you will have an important function with responsibility for methods, processes, quality control, and tools within Application Portfolio Management. The role is suitable for you who are at the beginning of your career, either newly graduated or with a few years of experience, and who are interested in a developing role.

Your Role

As a Junior Application Portfolio Lead, you will be part of the organization's central work to create order, structure, and transparency in the application landscape. You will support the building and development of the application portfolio and assist the business and IT in collecting, quality assuring, and analyzing information about our applications.

This is a development role where you build responsibility, competence, and independence over time within IT governance, portfolio management, architecture, or business development. You will work closely with experienced IT colleagues, application owners, architects, and business representatives, which gives you both security and daily learning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work on the development and implementation of new working methods and system support for Application Portfolio Management.
  • Collect, update, and quality assure information about applications, such as owners, costs, lifecycle status, usage, and dependencies.
  • Conduct basic analyses and compilations of application data for use in reports and decision-making materials, as well as identify improvement opportunities.

You Bring

Previous work experience is not a requirement, and we welcome newly graduated individuals who are curious and want to develop. To be effective in the role, you need to be able to work in a structured and meticulous manner, and enjoy collecting, analyzing, and visualizing information. You communicate clearly and make complex issues understandable, while being driven to understand how applications and processes are interconnected. You have a goal-oriented and learning attitude, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a desire to perform that drives you to move forward, develop, and deliver quality. You collaborate easily, build relationships, and dare to ask questions or challenge ambiguities.

Requirements (all of these must be met):

  • Relevant education in IT, system science, industrial economics, business development, or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of IT environments and the role of applications in business processes from academia and work life.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and the ability to express yourself well in English.
  • Driver's license B.

Meritorious (none of these are mandatory):

  • Knowledge of IT governance, ITIL, portfolio management, or architectural models.
  • Experience with CMDB or application catalog work, information mapping, and structured data processing in tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience in driving projects/improvement work and/or implementation of system support.
