Social Welfare Officer in Elderly Care

We are now looking for you who want to take on the challenge as a social welfare officer in elderly care; we are seeking a temporary social welfare officer for a summer position.

The Elderly Care Authority Unit is a unit within the welfare and care sector. We work with authority exercises for individuals over 66 years old according to the Individual's Needs in Center (IBIC), and we are ISO-certified, which contributes to good quality in our operations. We continuously work to develop and improve our services. The unit consists of a unit manager, a group leader, twelve social welfare officers, a housing coordinator, an officer responsible for transport services, and two fee officers.

Your tasks involve working with authority exercises. You will receive applications, investigate and make decisions regarding the right to assistance, and follow up and reassess decisions according to the Social Services Act. The work also involves a lot of contact with our target group, as well as collaboration with colleagues, relatives/representatives, and other stakeholders in the field. We have customer choice, and you will order services, maintaining ongoing control over ordered and provided home care.

Are you the one we are looking for? You have completed or are in the process of completing a social work degree. If you are in the final stages of your social work education, we would prefer that. It is an advantage if you have completed your practical training (VFU) in authority exercises. Previous experience in social work and working with the elderly is also beneficial. Personal suitability is highly valued.

You have good knowledge of applicable legislation, good computer skills, and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are meticulous. The work also requires a professional approach, good collaboration skills, and always providing a good reception. You are also flexible, responsible, and have a solution-oriented approach.

Before employment, the employer will request a criminal record extract from the police.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment. The selection process will be ongoing during the application period. Start date according to agreement.
