JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for a licensed psychologist who wants to be part of our team at Skänninge Prison. This is an expanded position, where you will work alongside an already employed psychologist to conduct assessment and treatment work. Together, you will be a professional team providing support and guidance to our clients.
Common issues among our clients include depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. In your role, you will conduct neuropsychiatric assessments, map clients' needs, perform clinical evaluations, and offer individually tailored treatment interventions, for example using CBT methodology or shorter counseling support. An important part of the work involves conducting NPF assessments.
As part of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service team, you will work to reduce the risk of recidivism by planning and prioritizing interventions based on the RBM principles (Risk, Needs, Responsivity). You will also provide supervision to staff to strengthen a professional approach and equip your colleagues with tools and knowledge about clients' issues and needs.
The variation in issues and tasks makes the role both diverse and rewarding. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have an important and developing role in the team.
We offer good opportunities for further education, both through internal and external courses and training. Working with an exciting patient group allows you to deepen your theoretical knowledge and apply it in practice. As a psychologist at Skänninge Prison, you will have independent and varied tasks, primarily at the individual level.
