Are you ready to work in a community-supporting organization? Then this might be an exciting challenge.

To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the conditions to live the best life possible, there are the District Veterinarians. With around-the-clock readiness, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge of animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of individuals, businesses, and authorities. We offer community-supporting services for emergency veterinary care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

Bygdeå is located 40 kilometers north of Umeå, close to the sea and an idyllic natural landscape. We are a clinic that offers stimulating and varied tasks in a pleasant environment with mixed animal species that have grown and must recruit in line with that. With us, you will work with all animal species during on-call times but primarily with small animals during the day. The clinic is modern and well-equipped with an operating department, gas anesthesia, dental department, laboratory, X-ray, and ultrasound. The work involves a varied pace with a wonderful, close-knit team that enjoys working together and supports each other. On-call duty is a natural part of the job, and with us, we work according to a model that ensures recovery and rest. Your development and personal competence plan are important to us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In our district, we have many production farms and a rapidly growing small animal clinic. Part of a business-driven operation with a day clinic/operation and around-the-clock on-call duty where the customer and animal health are at the center.

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our community and has the desire to develop and drive our small animal operations forward. We strive to meet the demands of our customers and thereby offer the best possible care and service. To thrive in this role, you need to have worked with small animals in a clinic but also enjoy traveling to our production animals during on-call times. Our goal is to create a workplace where everyone enjoys their job and thereby have the right conditions to do a good job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish veterinary license and a B driver's license.

You are not afraid to think differently and see yourself as a team player rather than an individualist. You will thrive with us if you value collaboration with the team. You are also meticulous, organized, and loyal. You need to be a team player who adapts to the group and has good communication skills. As a veterinarian, you take responsibility for driving your work forward. You thrive in an environment where the day can quickly change, where we as a team adapt and help each other to handle the situations that arise together. We are looking for someone who has worked with small animals and appreciates meeting agricultural animals and helping acutely ill large animals. We place great importance on personal suitability and that you feel commitment, joy, and innovation in your professional role.

Warm welcome to us in Bygdeå with your application!
