Do you believe that every person deserves care tailored to their needs? Would you also like a job where you can take responsibility while feeling strong support from an engaged team? Then the role of a nurse with us in Skellefteå municipality could be just right for you.
We are currently looking for dedicated nurses for Area South with the following placements:
- Two nurses placed within Bureå home care, combined with a care and nursing home in Bureå.
- One nurse placed within Lövånger home care, combined with a care and nursing home in Lövånger.
- One nurse for Lövånger home care 50%, the other 50% for Burträsk, Bureå, or Lövånger home care and/or care and nursing homes.
There is an opportunity to start from Bureå or from central Skellefteå, depending on what suits you best.
With us, you work independently, make a real difference every day – and at the same time have room to develop and grow in your professional role.
YOUR ROLE
As a nurse in Area South, you will be part of a close-knit team with experienced and dedicated colleagues. Together, you will perform primary care interventions in patients' homes – both in ordinary housing and in care and nursing homes. You will have a varied and meaningful job where you can use your skills and contribute to safe, high-quality care in the patient's home environment.
You are responsible for independently assessing, planning, executing, and following up health and medical care interventions for patients aged 18 and older. The work is mobile and independent, where you often need to take your own initiatives and prioritize between different interventions. You collaborate closely with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other important actors – both within the municipality and the region – to create the best possible conditions for safe and qualitative care together.
We collaborate closely within our respective areas, which means that you may sometimes need to provide services outside your regular placement.
We believe in trust, dialogue, and good relationships as the foundation for successful care and give you influence over your schedule and the opportunity to plan your working hours with a balance between work and leisure. Currently, the position involves working every sixth weekend and approximately four evening shifts over a six-week period. Please note that this may change over time.
YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
You are a licensed nurse, or soon to be licensed, and preferably have experience working as a nurse. A good subject competence and a willingness to continuously develop within your professional field are important for you to succeed in the role. If you also have completed specialist training in relevant areas, that is an advantage.
We believe that you function best in the role if you are independent, proactive, and responsible. You work carefully and systematically, have an eye for detail, and are stable and secure in your working methods – meaning you can remain calm and prioritize correctly even in a fast-changing and challenging work environment. As a person, you are pedagogical and considerate in your interactions and enjoy working closely in a team. A B driver's license is a requirement.
For the position, you need to have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sámi administrative municipality, we see it as an advantage if you can speak Finnish or Sámi. If you can also use sign language, we consider it an asset in the operation.
The position is subject to requirements for a background check according to law. Before a possible job offer, you must present an extract from the criminal record for work with elderly people or people with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority.
YOUR NEW WORKPLACE
As a nurse in our health and medical care unit, you will be part of an engaged team where we work to ensure that every patient has a daily life filled with safety, care, and quality of life. Here, you will meet colleagues who are eager to share knowledge and support each other. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and person-centered care that truly makes a difference in people's lives. We offer you support in your development through individual onboarding, further education, and good development opportunities.
With us, you will have a job that truly matters – for both you and the people you meet. Read more about the role of a nurse in Skellefteå municipality (https://skelleftea.se/sjukskoterska (https://skelleftea.se/sjukskoterska))
