Specialist Doctor in General Surgery

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Your Future Workplace

The Surgery and Orthopedics Clinic has about 15 employees in various professional categories. You will have two experienced surgeons as colleagues. At Angered Local Hospital, there is also a day surgery department. This provides an opportunity for a cohesive care chain by following the patient from the first visit at the clinic, to surgery, and possibly subsequent visits. The hospital also has suitable premises with nice reception rooms and a private office.

Job Responsibilities

You will handle patients both in the clinic and in surgery. You need to be confident and self-sufficient in your professional role. We work closely together, and you should enjoy working in a team.

Since Angered Local Hospital is part of the Hospitals in the West, there is an opportunity to tailor your assignment based on your wishes and competencies. As both Kungälv Hospital and Alingsås Hospital provide care around the clock, there is an opportunity to join the on-call team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in general surgery. You have many years of experience and good references. The work requires a developed ability to work both independently and in a team with others. You have a good insight into your own abilities and limitations and do not have problems asking for help. You see change as a natural part of the business and actively contribute to the joint work.
