What do we do at GELITA?

In our process, we produce food-grade products such as gelatin, fat, and protein powder. The manufacturing is highly automated and complex in several ways, where the raw material goes through various steps before we reach the final product. Other important factors in our production are energy usage in the form of electricity and steam.

GELITA specializes in advanced process engineering production and constantly strives to raise the quality standard. We are now looking for a talented and committed person who is ready to be an important part of our quality work.

Assignment and Job Description

One of our key strengths is that we have managed to combine people and technology through skilled employees and ongoing improvement efforts within the company. You will participate in the internal quality work where we work with continuous improvement within the management systems for quality and food safety.

Some examples of your areas of responsibility:

• coordinate and lead the HACCP work
• internal training in HACCP
• sampling within hygiene control and data follow-up
• contacts with contractors for pest control/inspections
• digitization of system documentation
• internal audits
• optimization and ongoing needs within the quality department

Who are you?

You are meticulous and independent, but also enjoy being part of a team and collaborating. As a person, you can take your own initiatives and see solutions instead of obstacles. You have good communication skills and can collaborate with different functions. In addition, you have:

• a university degree in chemistry or food science
• 3 years of experience in food production
• knowledge of management systems for food safety
• knowledge of sampling food/water
• knowledge of microbiology
• understanding of system administration
• good skills in working with Windows-based applications
• familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and FSSC 22000

As GELITA is an international group, you communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
