We are looking for a senior project manager for a long-term and technically complex assignment within rock and civil engineering for tunnels and stations. You will be part of the client organization and play a key role in leading the design process in both the construction documentation phase and the construction phase – including change management when conditions change.

The assignment is suitable for you who thrive in the intersection of technology, production, and management, and who have experience coordinating multiple technical areas in large underground infrastructure projects.

About the role

As a Project Manager for Civil Engineering, you will be responsible for managing design consultants within the framework of time, cost, and content, as well as ensuring that deliveries meet the right quality and are feasible for production.

The focus of the assignment is on:

• producing construction documents
• packaging and quality assurance of tender documents (FU)
• revisions and change notes during the construction phase for stations and access tunnels (e.g., Liljeholmen and Fridhemsplan)

The contracts are mainly procured as performance contracts (AB 04), with elements of ABT 06 for certain parts.

Job responsibilities

The assignment includes, among other things:

Design Management & Technical Coordination

• Lead and manage design consultants in the construction documentation and construction phase
• Ensure coordination between technical areas (rock, civil engineering, geotechnics, construction, installations, etc.)
• Ensure that documents are complete, consistent, and production-adapted, and meet the client's requirements

Tender Documents & Bidding Phase

• Participate in packaging and quality assurance of FU
• Support project management and procurement during the bidding period (technical questions, KFU, supplements)

Construction Phase & Change Management

• Lead technical revisions and change notes
• Assess the consequences of changes related to function, safety, work environment, time, and cost
• Ensure documentation, traceability, and decision-making processes during changes

Requirements, Risks, and Regulations

• Ensure that requirements (e.g., via Polarion) are translated into verified technical solutions
• Participate in BAS-P work and ensure that work environment risks are managed in the design process
• Contribute to risk management and follow-up, as well as requirements related to sustainability, permits, and external agreements

As-built Documents & Management Data

• Lead the work with as-built documents
• Ensure that documentation and management data are produced according to requirements

Communication & Reporting

• Report status, risks, and deviations to responsible parties in the project organization
• Participate in coordination meetings and relevant forums

Requirements Profile (must-have)

To be considered, you need to have:

• Technical university education
• At least 8 years of documented experience as a project manager/assignment manager in rock and civil engineering in underground infrastructure projects
• At least 3 years of experience as a project manager in urban environments during the production phase, including handling of revision notes
• Experience with contracts where Civil Engineering AMA and MER have been used (at least 2 contracts)
• At least 2 years of experience as a project manager in a client organization or civil engineering contracting company, as well as projects with a contract budget > 300 MSEK
• At least 5 years of experience in design within one or more technical areas in rock and civil engineering contracting

Assignment Information

• Start: no later than 2026-04-01 (as soon as possible)
• End: 2030-12-01
• Option: 1+1+1+1 years
• Scope: full-time (40 hours/week, occasional need outside office hours may occur)
• Location: Stockholm
• Security Clearance: the assignment is placed in a security class – security clearance is required
