We are now looking for a personal assistant for a 40-year-old man in Mantorp who lives with ALS.   ABOUT THE CLIENT The client is a social person with a great interest in computers, cars, and programming. He lives with his three children (ages 10, 12, and 14), his wife, and two dogs. Activities are appreciated based on the client's interests, as long as his health and the weather permit it.    He needs help with most daily tasks, including:

• PEG tube for food and medicine
• Cough machine and respiratory assistance
• Transfers (with his own active participation)

  The job also means that you will be an important part of a family life, but you must also respect the client's need for personal time and privacy.   WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for someone who is:

• Physically strong and mobile, as no aids are currently used
• Independent, meticulous, and has a strong work ethic
• Perceptive – you should be able to sense when it is time to give space
• Not allergic to or afraid of dogs
• Confident in varied situations and preferably has care or assistance experience

  It is an advantage if you are a woman, but not a requirement. A driver's license and a car are advantageous but not mandatory. A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you can provide valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. To ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain extracts from the criminal record for all those we employ.  Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal record before a potential employment.   We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we review applications continuously and may fill the position before the application deadline.
