Working in home care is about meeting people, around the kitchen table, in the small moments of everyday life, and in conversations that mean more than one might initially think.

We are now looking for several new colleagues for the home care service in Visby. Perhaps you are the one who wants a job where care, responsibility, and relationships are the most important. With us, you will meet people with different life stories and needs, and no day is like the other.

As an employee in home care, you start from a structure in your workday, but since you work with people, things can change, and therefore you need to enjoy a flexible job. You visit the clients independently, but you are always part of a team where you support each other and share responsibility. Your workday will take you around Visby on foot, by bike, or by car.

Your Responsibilities

In your work, you will among other things:

• Provide support, help, and motivation based on each client's individual needs and wishes.
• Perform personal care.
• Carry out medical interventions on delegation.
• Assist with cooking, escorting, shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
• Work based on clear implementation plans with the individual at the center.
• Work flexibly based on the needs of the organization, even in other groups or departments.
• Establish and follow up on implementation plans.
• Document interventions in our digital systems.
• Maintain contact with relatives.
• Collaborate with home healthcare, rehabilitation, case managers, and other home care groups.
• Use our digital planning tool as support in everyday life.

The work is scheduled and includes day, evening, and every other weekend.

Who Are You?

For the position of nursing assistant, education with a focus on nursing assistance is required. Nursing assistant is a protected professional title and certification from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required according to current regulations. Experience from home care or nursing work is advantageous.

For the position of residential assistant, it is desirable that you have completed a secondary education. It is advantageous if you have a healthcare-related education, such as a care assistant, as well as experience in nursing work or home care.

To thrive with us, you are flexible and can adapt to the changes of everyday life. You work independently in the client's home but also enjoy close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals. You are service-oriented and empathetic, creating security through respectful interactions. With a holistic view, you see both the client's needs and the organization’s goals, and you can analyze situations and find solutions in everyday life.

A B driver's license is a requirement for certain units and advantageous for others. For the position, it is also required that you can cycle and navigate in all weather conditions and throughout the year.

In accordance with the new language requirement, you need to have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written forms, to ensure safe care, good, and accurate documentation.
