Analyst at the Department of Bank Analysis and Policy

About the job
As an analyst in the Bank Analysis unit, you will assist the entire Banking area with issues related to reported data. You will prepare and compile data, charts, and tables for various reports and processes. In this role, you will also be responsible for producing and writing one of the external reports published regularly by the department called the Bank Barometer.
You will also contribute to the Banking area's efforts to streamline our data management. You will have the opportunity to assist colleagues in certain supervisory matters, for example, when assessing risks in smaller credit institutions.
The position involves close collaboration internally, both within your group and with other departments at FI. You will also have the opportunity to create external contacts with other authorities and companies under FI's supervision.
Your education and experience
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience in retrieving and compiling large amounts of data from various data sources and conducting simpler analyses, either through studies or previous work experience
- holds a bachelor's degree in econometrics, statistics, economics, financial economics, or another technical field
- has programming skills in Python
- has knowledge of the Swedish banking market and its actors
- expresses themselves well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you:
- have previous experience with Power BI
- have programming skills in SQL
- have previously worked with SAS programs
- hold a Master's or equivalent degree in econometrics, statistics, economics, or financial economics
- have experience from another authority or the financial industry
- have knowledge of the regulations governing banking operations.
