I am a 43-year-old man with a high spinal cord injury. This means I am paralyzed from the neck down and require ventilator support for my breathing. I am tracheostomized and receive my medications and fluids via PEG. I communicate through nods/shakes of my head, as well as miming or speaking with Leakspeech. I also have an eye-controlled computer with text-to-speech functionality, and a fiancée who can interpret.

I am looking for a wonderful team of assistants who can help me with my daily tasks, hygiene, and training. I have double assistance around the clock.

I live with my fiancée and our American Bulldog, so you cannot be allergic to pets or afraid of dogs.

I am looking for someone with a big heart, education in care and nursing, who is stress-resistant and most importantly - has a sense of humor. A good laugh extends life! You should have a bit of backbone and be willing to take initiative.

Working as a personal assistant for me involves a great deal of responsibility – both medically, physically, and socially. To ensure we both feel secure, a criminal record extract will be requested before employment.

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. To ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain extracts from the criminal records of all our hires. Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal records before potential employment.
