The hospital in Ystad is an emergency hospital with round-the-clock operations and a wide range of specialized elective care. We offer health and medical care characterized by quality, accessibility, a holistic view, and compassion. As a medium-sized hospital, Ystad is distinguished by short decision-making paths and proximity to other areas of operation. Many different patient groups turn to the emergency department in Ystad, and therefore we need colleagues with various experiences, backgrounds, and competencies.

The emergency department has approximately 35,000 visits annually within the specialties of medicine, surgery, urology, orthopedics, and gynecology. We have several professional categories working closely together. We aim to be at the forefront of what characterizes a modern working method in the form of a team-based approach and work around the patient. There is a responsible nurse on duty at all times who leads the daily work. During the day and evening, this is done in consultation with the responsible physician who specializes in emergency care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nursing assistant in the emergency department, we offer a workday that varies in both content and challenges, where you are an obvious and central part of the patient's care. We have an open climate and approach towards each other and our patients. The working environment you are offered is exciting, sometimes stressful, but at the same time incredibly fun and challenging. Our working time model and our working hours provide great opportunities for variation as we are available around the clock throughout the year.

We also work with an individually tailored introduction, continuous education and training, and scenario training so that you can feel secure in your role as a nursing assistant in our Emergency Department. We also view positively if you want to rotate between our different units to build an even broader competence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant. In addition, you have good language skills in Swedish both spoken and written. It is a requirement that you have previous experience working in a hospital. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience in emergency care.

As a person, you enjoy challenges and want to participate in development and education. You are curious and enjoy planning, take initiative, and are flexible. We are looking for someone with a humble attitude and who is confident in themselves. You are attentive to colleagues and patients and have a positive attitude. OTHER

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within health and care. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. At any interview/employment, you will need to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by transitional provisions, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
